Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, EVANGELINE WERGER is a pianist passionate about contemporary music. She focuses on commissioning and performing works by living composers, particularly those who are lesser-known and under-represented. In addition to the piano, Evangeline has also performed on organ, synthesizer, melodica, and toy piano throughout North America and Europe. She has had the opportunity to study and perform with Yarn/Wire, 5th House Ensemble, and Eighth Blackbird. Currently completing a double degree in piano performance and German from Lawrence University and Conservatory in Appleton, Wisconsin, Evangeline studies with Michael Mizrahi and Katherine Handford. Recent performance highlights include playing piano on an Eighth Blackbird Creative Lab concert in Ojai, California, playing synthesizer in Lawrence’s Mainstage Opera Hydrogen Jukebox by Philip Glass, performing Andrew Cole’s Song Birds in Winter: A Young Person’s Guide to the Impending Mass Extinction Event for piano and live interactive electronics on a Lawrence faculty recital, and performing George Crumb’s Macrocosomos alongside Ning Yu and Laura Barger at the inaugural Yarn/Wire Institute at Stony Brook University in New York. When she is not immersed in her musical studies, Evangeline enjoys exploring the literature of German immigrants, cooking, and fostering dogs.

ISAAC MAYHEW is a composer and trumpet player based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is a recipient of the Pi Kappa Lambda Composition Award and a winner of the 23rd Annual Eric Stokes Song Contest, and was featured at the 2017 International Double Reeds Society conference.
